Our Pedagogy

Our teaching methodologies incorporate the best of both worlds from the ways of ancient traditions like outdoor learning to the most modern experiential learning approaches.

The sources of learning may be directly from reading, field trips, guest visits, observations, discussions, debates, demonstrations or hands on experience.

The tasks our students do in class will incorporate the Multiple Intelligences- Verbal, Mathematical, Visual Spatial, Kinesthetic, Interpersonal, Intra personal, Musical, Naturalist and /or Existential.

Our teachers will provide effective help or 'scaffolding' to learners when they face difficulty. We aim to provide taxonomical depth of understanding in class, namely, Knowledge, Understanding, Application, Analyses, Syntheses, Evaluation and Creation.

The Curriculum

NPS International offers two exciting early learning programmes, the Montessori and the Kindergarten for children between ages 3 to 6.

An integrated global curriculum is offered from grades I-VIII and is based on the requirements of both Indian and International education systems. While this is geared, essentially, to the needs of the students in the primary and middle schools, the focus in the secondary school is on achieving important, externally recognized standards.

Students from grade I to grade VIII acquire skill sets and a knowledge domain that prepares them for entry into either the international IGCSE(International Cambridge Certification) or AISSCE examinations of the CBSE. Both these programmes prepare them for more advanced study programmes such as the CBSE (Senior secondary), AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBD) programme.

The curriculum encompasses core subjects i.e. English, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies and Languages in addition to subjects like Computer Science, Art and Design, Music (Western and Indian), Dance, Drama and Physical education. Specialist teachers provide instruction and guidance in the latter group. Language options include English, French, Hindi, Tamil, Mandarin. Other languages like Korean, Spanish, Japanese etc would be offered if the number of students make it viable.
